Thyrale Thai producer
A California native, Thyrale Thai graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with two Bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and American Studies. Since 1998, she has been extensively involved in independent film and boasts credits in all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production. While pursuing an MFA at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, Thyrale has written and directed numerous short films and plays. Her work has won her several awards, including the Jack Nicholson Award for Distinguished Directing. Besides producing Shout, Thyrale is currently developing an internationally co-produced feature length film. She enjoys traveling but currently calls Hollywood her home.

James C. Yuan cinematographer
James received his BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Pomona College in 1997. He is currently completing his MFA in Cinematography at UCLA film school. His first-year film won the UCLA Spotlight Award in 2001, and his work as a Director of Photography has screened in various festivals and galleries, including Cannes. He grew up in Pasadena, CA and currently resides in West Hollywood, CA near the Astro Burger on Santa Monica Blvd. After years of shooting film shorts, installation works, music videos, and spec commercials, James is proud to have most recently completed shooting his first independent feature film, Ethan Mao, from the producers of Better Luck Tomorrow.
